Adnan Maqsood is a Professor at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan. He received his bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from NUST, Pakistan, in 2005 and his Ph.D. from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, in 2012. He is engaged in graduate teaching and research and heading Computational Aeronautics Lab. In addition to this, he is serving as Director of Academics at NUST. His current research interests are associated with: Flight Dynamics and Control, Applied & Computational Aerodynamics, Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) Systems, Nonlinear Dynamics, and Human Factors in UAVs. He is successful in securing both industrial and public funding. At NUST, he has effectively managed and participated as a principal and co-principal investigator in different research projects funded by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF), Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC), Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF), and Belt & Road Aerospace Innovation Alliance (BRAIA) Seed Fund, China. He has authored 80+ scientific publications (peer-reviewed journal publications and international conference proceedings). He has successfully supervised 40+ graduate students. In 2021, he won a Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) grant of PKR 766 Million to establish an interdisciplinary labs-driven higher-education infrastructure at NUST.
