I hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Bioengineering, with extensive experience in bio-MEMS, nanotechnology, and microfluidics. My interdisciplinary research spans areas like energy harvesting, organ-on-chip systems, and biomimetic membranes for healthcare and environmental applications. I have secured major research grants and received several awards, including the International Travel Award from the Biophysical Society (USA), Best PhD Thesis Award from INHA University, and multiple accolades from the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers and Biotechnology and Bioengineering societies. These accomplishments underscore my commitment to advancing innovation and research excellence. My long-term goal is to develop advanced biomedical technologies—such as scalable organ-on-chip models and precision diagnostics—that can be adopted by industry to improve patient outcomes and advance public health.
