Dr. Muhammad Asghar is a distinguished academic and scientist currently serving as Professor, at Department of Biomedical Engineering, SMME , National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan. Dr Asghar also holds the position of Associate Professor and Ragnar Söderberg Fellow in Medicine at the Department of Biology, Lund University, Sweden and a guest researcher position at Department of Sports and Clinical Biomechanics at Southern University Denmark. Dr Asghar has completed 4 years postdoctoral training at the Department of Medicine, Karolinska Institutet, Sweden, one of the world’s premier medical research universities. Prior to his current appointment at NUST, Dr. Asghar served as Associate Professor and Group Leader at the Karolinska Institutet. Throughout his career, Dr. Asghar has built a robust profile in both scientific research and institutional development, demonstrating excellence in both domains. His research has been published in high-impact journals such as Science, Nature Medicine, Nature Communications, and Aging Cell, contributing to a cumulative impact factor exceeding 400, a reflection of the depth and influence of his scholarly work.
