In a significant step towards advancing disability inclusion in higher education, Dr. Alison Halford and Dr. Asad Fayyaz recently visited the School of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering (SMME) at NUST on monday 17 November, 2025 to discuss the “Learning4All: A Framework for Disability Inclusion in Research and Education” project. The initiative, jointly won by SMME-NUST, Coventry University, and Manchester Metropolitan University and funded by the British Council, was the focus of high-level talks with SMME Principal Dr. Javaid Iqbal on monday. The delegation explored various aspects of creating an inclusive HE environment and strategized on a forward path to implement the project’s goals effectively, marking a strengthened collaboration between the partner institutions.
