In The Spotlights Research for Rehab: AI, Robotics, Augmented Reality, and Non-invasive Brain Stimulation

NUST Biomedics Club successfully organized an engaging and insightful academic talk titled “Research for Rehab: AI, Robotics, Augmented Reality, and Non-invasive Brain Stimulation” on October 31, 2025. The event featured two distinguished speakers — Prof. Sadia Shakil, Research Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Dr. Mirza Obaid Baig, Head of the Clinical Department at Riphah International University.

The session explored the fascinating intersection of neuroscience and technology, highlighting the advancements in AI-driven mental health research, neurological disorder management, soft robotic systems, and augmented reality applications for stroke rehabilitation. Both speakers shared insightful perspectives on how emerging neuro-technologies are transforming the understanding of brain function and human movement.
