Blood Camp -2022

-

In collaboration with Jamila Sultana Foundation and AFIT, NUST Community Services Club (NCSC) successfully organized their flagship event, blood donation camp from 24-27 Oct 2022 at IGIS ground. With the help of NUST Administration, a total of 515 blood pints were collected over the course of 4 days. It was heartwarming to see the response of Nustians, with over 734 potential donors registering for the noble cause of saving lives.

All four days of NUST Community Service Club (NCSC) Blood Donation Drive was alight with enthusiastic donors. Potential donors had their weight checked, filled in health information, confirmed their medical history with a doctor, and got their blood analyzed. If the HB is healthy and medical history is clear, you are good to donate. There are several food stalls, blood is donated, and people throw their lucky name in the Goblet of Fire to participate in the Harry Potter themed BloodWizard Tournament, which saw the batch of ’21 winning with the maximum number of donors.

Blood donation comes with countless benefits. 1 donation from you can save up to 3 lives. Additionally, your blood strengthens due to lowered blood viscosity, which in turn lowers chances of strokes and heart attacks. Furthermore, as your blood is analyzed for diseases in the process of donation, you’re signing up for a free health check-up, among other things.
