Department of Design and Manufacturing Engineering
National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) has a long term vision to address market requirements for engineering education to provide highly skilled and committed engineers in the leading disciplines. The university services are being availed at national level by public, private and defense organizations to perform their functions in an efficient and effective manner. Additionally, a large number of NUST graduates are also employed by multi-national organizations. To improve upon this aspect NUST keeps on expanding existing programmes and adding new programmes regularly. Launching Graduate Programme in Design and Manufacturing Engineering had been a step in this direction. MS & PhD program at the department of Design and Manufacturing Engineering commenced in 2009 and 2010 respectively.

The aim of “Design and Manufacturing Engineering” at SMME is to train graduates in all aspects of product realization from product design to manufacturing technologies and operations. As our industry demands, this program is to apprise the graduates of the needs of modern manufacturing industry. Moreover, it will provide the ability to integrate various design and manufacturing processes into an effective system.
